Personal Profile
I have a varied work history with a lot of different skills which I think are relevant to a number of careers. Previously I have worked for Social Services as a support worker, for Yorkshire Water as a customer support technician and more recently as an English teacher abroad. All of these jobs have required good communication and team working skills.
2018-2021
After returning from teaching abroad I have done a variety of different roles including volunteering and agency work.
2011-2017
For six years I worked abroad teaching English. I worked in a variety of different educational settings and countries. This included teaching in a high school in Thailand, a primary school in the Czech Republic and at an immersion camp in Spain. During this time I have acquired a lot of skills which I think will be transferable to a number of careers. These include time management, leadership and IT skills.
Qualifications
I have a BSc in Environmental Analysis which I completed in 2007. This was a four year degree which included an industrial placement for one year at Yorkshire Water. This was in the research and development department where I worked on a number of projects in the wastewater sector.
I have a CELTA (Certificate of English Language Teaching to Adults) which I completed in 2011. This has helped me with my most recent career of teaching English abroad.
