Have you ever seen a Chinese magician?

Do you think the Chinese could be affective magicians?

Slight of hand, etc...is it possible here?

apart from sword swallowing and burning themselves and blah blah circus esc tricks akin to self torture...real magic tricks, cards etc....

    never seen one! have you!?

There is little community of magicians here in the deep south. They are actually pretty good. I've seen them a few times at various functions. They even hold classes.

Why not exactly? Can Chinese bears take a dump in the woods like western ones? I saw one magician before, he was great. But I'm easily pleased with the simple stuff.

You should check out Liu Qian. He's pretty amazing.

Yes, I saw some on TV and in real life. Lu Chen is a famous magician from Taiwan, you can see his face in adverts here and there.

Lots of times!!! Very good, too (if you don't look too close!)

"Watch as I turn this island which you thought was it's own country into... not!!!"

"See this economically stable, financial juggernaut turn into...another mindlessly controlled pile of crap!"

"You'll be astounded by how a simple idiotic behaviour pattern can be washed away with a simple wave of the hand and a "5000 years of history, you don't understand Chinese culture!!"

"Watch, as I pull this 500 year old map out of my arse to prove why those man-made islands almost 2000 miles from our coastline in fact belongs to us!!!"
