Why everything comes down to compensations?

    Copied from a news site.

"A woman who intended to keep her virginity until her wedding night "lost" it at a premarital check-up, Guangzhou Daily reported on Sunday.

Wang, a 22-year-old woman in Nanjing, Jiangsu province, holds traditional beliefs and declined to have sex before marriage, as virginity is considered a symbol of purity in traditional Chinese culture. Her boyfriend also agreed with her.

After the pair decided to get married, they went through a premarital check-up, after which Wang found herself bleeding. It turned out that her hymen was broken by the doctor's equipment.

Wang was so mad that she called the police. With mediation, the doctor was willing to compensate her and further negotiation is underway."

How many lies do you notice in the whole story? And why is compensation the core subject of such stories?

Can a girl's hyman not go quite easily? i think i remember somebody saying hers went when she was riding a horse. Bit unfair on the doctor unless he used some kind of dildo.

hmmm... now I think about it, it's probably the nature thing... for example, In my country people tend to resort to physical violence more easily, because they know it's not easy to get money out of someone... so if not money, how else people will get even?

also I agree with Robk - the easy way out and get rich without working hard...

Because in China, god is money.

Almost every Chinese person is looking for the easy out... they don't want to work hard or earn a living. So any chance they get... to be "compensated" they will take it. I have never seen Chinese be so creative/innovative except when they come up with ideas to con, cheat or put on a show for compensation.
